The people behind the stitches

MildMakers began with one well-loved cloth doll.

Our founder, Mara Ellis, repaired a childhood doll and discovered how much patience, design, and memory can live inside a small handmade object. MildMakers grew from that repair table into a learning studio for people who want to make with care.

Our mission

We make doll-making education approachable, specific, and welcoming. Lessons focus on useful skills, original character design, and the quiet confidence that comes from finishing a piece with your own hands.

Our promise

No pressure, inflated claims, or one-size-fits-all creativity. We provide clear instruction, honest materials guidance, and room for each maker's voice.
